Fixing a Laptop from the Scrap Heap - So Many Issues
This was more involved than I anticipated... In this video, I take a laptop from a scrap heap and put it right. I have to replace the screen, keyboard, Wi-Fi card, fan, charging port, battery, BIOS battery, RAM, SSD, a bunch of screws, rubber feet, etc. All in, it cost £43.07 as we had a lot of the required parts to hand. They always have been. When all is said and done, I'm left with a machine with plenty of character, one that works without issue and one that will no doubt prove very beneficial to its eventual recipient, via the Birmingham Device Bank.
