Dentron Clipperton-L blew the trannie
Not a good day for me today. !st off, on the General Radiotelephone I bought off Ebay, the seller decided he "Dropped it" so he just gave me my money back. Then, I dug out the Dentron Clipperton-L I had and was going to fire it up and send it trhu its paces before packing it up and taking it to Hamvention next month. After slowly ramping it up on the low (CW) side, it was all good. Tuned well with good output. Then on high, zip pftttt Bzzzz. The transformer was grunted bad and then quickly blew the fuse. Well, I thought it might be a tube or the power supply. Hence, I disconnected the power supply and tried it again. Same thing. The tranny is gone. So, I took my tubes out and shot this video before wrapping it up. For sale, as/is, no tubes, bad tranny, $200 plus the ride. Dang, it would be a nice amp if the tranny was working.

Me and my setup at Dayton Hamvention 2026 packing up Probably my last year selling there.
