Tested personally on G3 MAX E and ZT3 Pro E — everything shown works reliably. --- CHAPTERS 00:00 - Intro 00:15 - Supported Scooters 00:37 - App download info 00:47 - Speed Upgrade guide 03:26 - Update Error Fix guide --- A QUICK WALKTHROUGH OF THE ENTIRE PROCESS PART 1: REGION CHANGE AND SPEED UPGRADE 1) Download the Scooter Hacking Utility (SHU) app v3 beta here: https://utility-beta.cfw.sh/ 2) Install SHU app on your Android device 3) Enter Segway app and unbind your scooter from your account (there's no need to logout) 4) Enter SHU app → FLASH tab → LOAD FROM REPO → VCU (choose the latest version) → START FLASH. 5) FLASH tab → LOAD FROM REPO → MCU (choose the latest version) → START FLASH. 6) Tap the TOOLS tab → CHANGE REGION → for MAX G3 choose US STANDARD / for ZT3 Pro choose US STANDARD 40 or US STANDARD 32 (numbers indicate the preferred speed limit). Your region will be changed, your serial number will be changed too! 7) Enter Segway app, bind your scooter to your account, enter the SETTINGS → CUSTOMIZE SPEED MODE and drag the speed slider the to the max in Sport Mode section. 8) If you can't bind your scooter to Segway app due to the firmware update error, check the solution below. 9) If you want to downgrade your region and firmware to the original ones, then first change the region in TOOLS tab, and only then downgrade the firmware (for this tap ROLLBACK TO STOCK in settings (details are below). PART 2: FIXING THE FIRMWARE UPDATE ERROR IN SEGWAY APP 1) If your scooter is already bound to Segway app and your only issue that you can't update the firmware to the newer version, then don't unbind your scooter from Segway app. Close the Segway app and restart the Bluetooth on your phone (it's not mandatory) 2) Enter SHU app → SETTINGS (3 dots in right upper corner of the screen) → tap on ROLLBACK TO STOCK. Your firmware will be downgraded to the original one, but the region will remain US. 3) Restart the scooter 4) Enter Segway app. If your scooter wasn't bound to your account, then bind it - the Segway app will request to update the firmware before binding the scooter, proceed with the update, you will not face any error this time. If your scooter has been bound to your account, then on the main page of the Segway app you should see the suggestion to update to the new firmware (alternatively find this option in SETTINGS → DEVICE INFO) - proceed with the update, you will not face any error this time. 5) If one day you need to change your region back to original, first of all you will need to update the firmware in SHU app (details are in PART 1). Only after that the region change option will become available.
