How To Fabricate a Neurovascular Implant - Part 2: Deformation

This video is part of the lecture "Neurovascular Implant Development" of the Institue of Biomedical Engineering (BMT) at the University of Stuttgart. In this course, students in the Master of Medical Engineering program learn the process of designing, fabricating, and testing an implant to treat brain aneurysms. The second part shows how the cylindrical implant can be deformed into a funnel shape. This makes the implant suitable as a coiling support for the treatment of aneurysms.
