Kádár János a XX. század egyik legmeghatározóbb beszédét mondta el az 1956-os forradalom leverését követő első május 1-jén, 1957-ben. A régi-új rendszer erődemonstrációja, a társadalom kapitulációja volt ez: százezres tömeg ünnepelte a Kádár vezette MSZMP-t, fél év alatt megerősödött az új párt és eltűnt a remény a forradalom folytatására.1957 tavaszára viszont 300 ezren léptek be az MSZMP-be, Kádár nem véletlenül ítéli meg úgy, hogy a párt ereje teljében van. A teljes beszédet sajnos sehol se tudtam beszerezni, ezt a videót több, az interneten elérhető részletből vágtam össze. Ha valakinek birtokában van, kérem, vegye fel velem a kapcsolatot. János Kádár delivered one of the most defining speeches of the 20th century on May 1, 1957, the first May day after the 1956 revolution was crushed by Hungarian Orthodox communists and their Soviet allies. It was a demonstration of the strength of the old-new system, and the capitulation of Hungarian society: a crowd of hundreds of thousands celebrated the MSZMP led by Kádár, the new party grew stronger in half a year.
