US Navy Blue Angels (From My House) 2026 MCAS Cherry Point Air Show (Sunday)

Something a little different today: The Blue Angels' performance at the 2026 MCAS Cherry Point Air Show as seen from my house! Recorded on Sunday, May 10. The 2020 MCAS Cherry Point Air Show was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. An opportunity arose in 2021 when the MCAS Miramar Air Show was cancelled, freeing up the US Navy Blue Angels and the F-22 Raptor on the same weekend. Cherry Point seized the opportunity and put on a world class air show with just a few months of planning. For their efforts in securing an incredible lineup of performers and static displays in such a short time, the organizers were given multiple awards by the International Council of Air Shows. The 2026 air show featured most of the same performers from the award-winning 2021 show, as well as a fantastic array of static displays. And of course, the headliners were the United States Navy's Flight Demonstration Team, the Blue Angels, in the F/A-18 Super Hornets. There were some clouds over Cherry Point at the air show. The Blue Angels began with a high show, switching to a low show for the delta portion. I once again recorded the Sunday performance from my house, and hope to upload that in the future.
