Hello! This is Aya from "Mountain Walking." Thank you for watching!★ This time, I took public transportation (bus) from Sendai Station to climb Mount Gassan in Yamagata Prefecture! Mount Gassan is one of the Dewa Sanzan mountains. *Dewa Sanzan refers to... The collective term for Mount Haguro, Mount Gassan, and Mount Yudono. A sacred place of mountain worship that has attracted devotees since ancient times. The route I took was the "Ubazawa Route," one of the seven commonly used routes, which allows access by lift. The elevation at the top of the route was 1,510 meters. Mount Gassan's elevation was 1,984 meters. The elevation difference was just under 500 meters! There were many gentle boardwalks, making it a very pleasant hike! It seems that touring the three mountains of Mount Haguro is called a "journey of rebirth." Haguro...this life Gassan...the past life Yudono...the next life It's said that these places are places where people pray for happiness. Next time, I'd like to visit Mt. Haguro and the three mountains!
