Sunny Hunny - A tour of Hunstanton

Video shows our visit in June 2026 to the wonderful Norfolk seaside town of Hunstantion. We walk along under the cliffs to the seafront. There is a traditional fair on the seafront and take a look in the Town which has some lovely buildings. we also look at the site of the pier and learn a bit about its history and importance to the town. There is so much on offer in Hunstanton including a wash monster ( which provides trips in the wash to see seals or Skegness). There is a fantastic fun fair on the sea front and a sea life centre. The Town has a theatre that has a summer season. We hope that our quick walk through Hunstanton will give a flavour of what is on offer. The Wolf Trail and Henry le Strange:- St Edmund was born into the Wuffing family (Wuffa being the old English word for a wolf) and was the last of that dynasty which had ruled the Kingdom of East Anglia for over 200 years. He landed in Hunstanton in 855 A.D., and since then Hunstanton has had a long and close association with St Edmund. Hunstanton’s association with St Edmund were celebrated by Henry Le Strange, when in the 1840’s he proposed his new sea bathing village ‘St Edmunds’. As the town quickly grew it became known as Hunstanton St Edmund’s, retaining this name until 1893 when the town was renamed ‘New Hunstanton’. #seaside #norfolk #cliff
