Today we explore one of the most important cities in northern Guatemala: Cobán, Alta Verapaz. After more than 10 years away, I'm returning to see how much this beautiful city, known as the Imperial City, has changed. On this tour, we'll visit the main entrance to Cobán, its most important streets, La Paz Central Park, the Santo Domingo de Guzmán Cathedral, modern shopping centers, commercial areas, restaurants, and much more. We'll also talk about the history of Cobán, its renowned high-altitude coffee, the traditional Kaq'ik, and other typical dishes that are part of the culture of Alta Verapaz. During the tour, we'll even be surprised by the rain, forcing us to change our plans a bit, but we'll still discover several corners of this city that continues to grow year after year.
