Why Romantasy Books Are So Disappointing Now

Romantasy has been my favorite genre to read, and write in as an aspiring author. It's in fact one of the most beloved genres amongst readers, especially on BookTok. But it seems like throughout the years, the quality of the books in the genre has been declining. But why is this happening? This is what I discuss in this video as I go over, the problematic writing trends in the genre, and the critisms it's been receiving, and make suggestions about how future books in the genre could be better written.
