Miracles should lead to a deepening belief in Jesus. They are signs that point to Him.
Miracles, such as the healing of the official’s son, are supposed to point to the more important outcome of deepening belief in Jesus. Many Christians have been taught to chase after miraculous signs and miracles just to have what they desire in this life, without going on to belief and obedience. Jesus’s question, and the response of the official’s household, should give us food for thought, and action.
