This is a Fujitsu Siemens SCALEO P from 2004. This computer runs Windows xp Home Edition service pack 2. It has Windows Media Player 10 installed and runs Microsoft Office 2003 Professional. this computer has an Intel Pentium 4 installed with 1 Gb of ddr1 ram. The optical disk drive is a DVD rewritable drive and the floppy disk drive is a 1.44 1 1/2 inch disk drive. The modem installed is a PCI SoftV92 Data Fax Modem with SmartCP 56k internal dial up winmodem. This computer gets it internet connection through a Lan connection directly to the ethernet port on the back of the computer. Windows xp is an operating system released in 2001 by Microsoft that was the successor to Windows me and Windows 2000. Windows xp would have two main editions at the time of release being Windows xp Home Edition and Windows xp Professional Edition. more editions would be released such as Starter Edition and Media Center Edition in 2005 and later Windows xp 64 bit Edition making Windows xp the first version of Windows to have a 64 bit version. Windows xp would be released on the NT5 codebase bringing an end to the MS-DOS Era. Windows xp would introduce many new features mainly a more easy to use interface with a new start menu and welcome screen as well as having a more modern and colorful theme compared to older versions of Windows. Windows xp would also be the fist version of Windows to support wireless technology such as wifi and Bluetooth. As a result this would lead to Windows xp being a huge success. A result of the huge success of Windows xp would lead to it having support for it last until 2014 and have a total of 3 service packs released. Due to its enormous popularity many people and businesses still use Windows xp in 2022.
