The plaintiff says he stored office furniture at the defendant’s commercial warehouse, which then went out of business. He says the defendant then held his property hostage until he paid a huge fee to get the property back. He’s suing to get his money back. The defendant says the plaintiff didn’t have any proof his former customer’s property was his, and the items were considered abandoned. He owes nothing to the plaintiff for the purchase of the items.
