I will show you how to use leaves and plastic wrap to make beautiful art. In this tutorial, I walk you through my process for creating organic leaf prints using supplies you can find right in your backyard. This project is perfect for artists looking to experiment with texture and layering using heavily diluted acrylic paint. Whether you are a beginner or just looking for a fun, low-stress creative activity, this botanical leaf impressions method offers a unique way to capture natural details on canvas. Following my step-by-step acrylic paint art guide, you will see how plastic wrap helps manipulate the paint to create interesting patterns around the leaf shapes. By the end of the video, you will have a finished piece of nature art and a new technique to add to your creative toolkit. I really enjoyed the process of making these botanical leaf impressions and I hope it inspires you. "Verdigris" — is a 10x10 fluid acrylic piece on a deep edge canvas. From prepping warm copper and rust background, to spraying four layers of fluid paint over real laurel leaves and letting each one dry under plastic wrap for 24 hours. I also show you how I add hand-painted details, mica pigment accents, and a patina edge to give the piece a finished, aged look. At the end I reveal the two sister pieces I made alongside it — both 12x24 — and show all three together as a triptych. 🌿 THIS VIDEO IS PART OF A MONTHLY NATE’S ART LAB COLLAB CHALLENGE This month's challenge: Botanical Leaf Impressions using the plastic wrap fluid acrylic technique. Drop a comment — I have a hack for that 😊 📌 TIMESTAMPS 0:00 Intro 0:26 Painting the Background 1:33 Fluid Layer 1 — Placing the Leaves 3:52 Layers 2–4 6:54 Removing the Leaves 7:18 Hand-Painted Details & Mica Accents 9:24 Stippling the Edges 13:04 The Reveal — Verdigris + Sister Pieces 👇 LET'S CONNECT Instagram:   / reclaiming.her.time   Facebook:   / reclaiming.her.time   YouTube:    / @reclaiming_her_time   If you try this technique, tag me — I would love to see what you create!
