WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE AIR FORCE ACADEMY PSYCHOMOTOR TESTS? In this first part of the two videos I prepared on psychomotor tests, which are consecutive, I provided a general introduction to psychomotor tests. In the second video, I examined all the tests in detail and offered some advice on how to train. Primary Objectives of the Test To measure candidates' motor skills and reaction time To assess coordination, multitasking, and stress management skills To provide a holistic assessment of mental and physical abilities Test Content Psychomotor tests generally include the following: Hand-eye coordination tests Reaction speed measurements Simple mathematical operations Three-dimensional visual orientation skills Color and sound matching tasks Activities requiring attention and concentration Test Administration 1. Coordination Test A cross and a small red circle moving at irregular speeds on the screen. * The candidate is expected to move in coordination with the joystick. The goal is to make accurate movements over specific distances (e.g., 2100 meters). 2. Display Test Aircraft displays are displayed in different colors and positions. The candidate must interpret the information on the displays correctly. 3. Number, Letter, and Color Test Making the correct choice among randomly presented words, letters, and colors. Responding correctly in a short time (approximately 7 seconds) is important. 4. Attention and Coordination Tests Different motor skill tests, such as drawing a star and directing an arrow. Measuring the ability to react quickly and accurately. Preparation Tips The test is not easy and requires serious preparation. Use simulator programs to get used to using the joystick. You can improve your psychomotor skills with free mobile apps. Improve your short-term memory and coordination with regular training. Practice using a computer and keyboard. Conduct exercises appropriate for your age group. Continuously develop your brain and skills. Avoid stress; stay calm and focused. Test Stages The tests consist of various stages and are administered in a computer environment. Sample test contents: 1. Estimating the position and direction of the aircraft 2. Computer game-like simulations 3. Simultaneous mathematical calculations during visual processing 4. Tracking moving objects 5. Memory tests 6.
