We Put an 8HP in a Single Turbo BMW N54 (CANTCU)

Today we’re giving this single turbo N54 the transmission it actually deserves. Taylor’s E92 has been running the tired 6HP, but with the power this car makes, it was time for the proven 8HP upgrade. Faster shifts. More torque capacity. Better drivability. We’re installing an 8HP45 with CanTCU’s V2 performance controller, OEM plug-and-play connectors, and a pre-pinned harness that makes the wiring surprisingly straightforward. We’re also adding a DCT shifter and an upgraded cooler to make sure this setup can handle serious power. Is the 8HP really the best transmission for a built N54? Let’s find out.
