In 1847, with the installation of the first notching machine, the craft of horn became an industry. But in essence, this process of transforming the horns into precious combs continues to be artisanal in either of the two factories that were maintained in the French town of Lesparrou (France) until the end of the last century. In one of them, in 1997, we were able to collect step by step how combs were made from animal horns.
