Rebuilding a Mercedes-Benz W124 Grille (1986-1993)
This video shows how to take apart and rebuild a grille for a W124 Mercedes-Benz. This grill is the same for all W124 between 1986 and 1993. 1994 and 1995 have a "facelift" style which is different and has different part numbers. The part numbers for this Grille: Mesh insert (124-888-02-23) - no longer available from Mercedes-Benz. You can buy the one I show on eBay for ~$30 USD at https://www.ebay.com/itm/352562402003 Horizontal chrome molding (124-888-03-85, x6) Vertical chrome molding (124-888-02-85) Horizontal molding clip (124-988-29-78, x24) Hood ornament (124-880-00-86-67) Grille badge (201-880-00-88) - no longer available from Mercedes-Benz. I got lucky and found a NOS (new old stock) item for sale on eBay.
