$4 Marugame Udon, Rice and Tempura | Salaryman Dinner

Hi, I’m Kai, a Japanese salaryman. After another long day of work, I stopped by Marugame Seimen, one of the most famous udon chains in Japan. This time, I ordered kamaage udon, rice, and shrimp tempura for only 630 yen. At first, it may sound a little strange to order rice at an udon shop, but there was a good reason for it. I enjoyed the free toppings, tried different ways of eating the udon, and even made my own mini tempura rice bowl at the end. Simple meals like this help me relax after work and remind me why I enjoy these quiet dinner moments so much. In this video, I share not just the food, but also a small part of Japanese after-work dining culture. What’s your favorite noodle dish in your country?
