Great Ocean Road Otway Classic 2026 | 204km Race Day

Insta - __jackybhoy Strava - Jack Hanlon What a day! Stayed down in Torquay the night before. Carb load, kit rundown, and race prep. Then 204km and 2500m of climbing through one of the most outrageous parts of Victoria. Started out through open farmland for the first 80km or so. Rolling, bit windy, no shelter but in a pack and pretty cruisey. Up through Moriac, all the way out to Forrest, then the Mount Sabine climb out of Skenes Creek. Then we hit the Great Ocean Road. That descent onto the coast was the madness. One of the coolest things I've done for sure! From there it was Kennett River, Lorne, Aireys Inlet, Anglesea and back into Torquay. The legs were toast by that point and those final climbs were pretty stinky. Filmed on GoPro chest mount and DJI Osmo 360. V happy with how the clips from the new camera look tbh!
