Machu Picchu Full Guide 🇵🇪 Circuit 2A, Bus, Tickets & Return to Cusco
Today is finally Machu Picchu day! After completing the Salkantay Trek and spending an extra day in Aguas Calientes to secure tickets, I finally visited one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world. This vlog is both my full experience and an informative guide for anyone planning to visit Machu Picchu, Peru. I start the morning in Aguas Calientes, showing the process of taking the bus up to Machu Picchu, lining up for entry, and entering the site with a guide for Circuit 2A, one of the most popular routes and one of the best options for the classic Machu Picchu viewpoint. Inside Machu Picchu, I walk through the full Circuit 2A route, sharing information along the way about the history, layout, viewpoints, terraces, temples, and important areas of the site. This video is experience-based like my normal travel vlogs, but also focused on giving useful information for viewers who are planning their own visit. After finishing the tour, I show the alternative option of hiking back down from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes instead of taking the bus. From there, I organise my return journey to Cusco by buying the train and bus tickets, stopping for a meal and coffee, then taking the PeruRail train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo. Since the train does not go directly to Cusco, I also show the next step of the journey: taking the bus from Ollantaytambo to Cusco. This gives a full look at how to visit Machu Picchu from Aguas Calientes and how to get back to Cusco afterwards. If you’re planning a trip to Machu Picchu, this vlog covers the full day including the morning bus, entry line, guided tour, Circuit 2A, hiking back to Aguas Calientes, PeruRail, Ollantaytambo, and the final bus back to Cusco. 🥾 Salkantay Trekking Experience I completed the 5-day Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu with Salkantay Trekking. 🌐 Book the trek here: https://www.salkantaytrekking.com/ 📸 Follow them on Instagram: / salkantaytrekking 🌍 How I stay connected while travelling: I use Yesim (eSIM) to stay connected anywhere in the world without needing physical SIM cards.
