Unboxing Märklin 55251-55257 E-Lok Baureihe 151 in 1:32 Spur1 BR 151 060-1 Lokomotion Zebra - Review
In this unpacking video, I show a 609 mm long and 7 kg heavy gauge 1 model of a Märklin class 151 freight train electric locomotive in a scale of 1 to 32. The prototype was built a total of 170 times between 1972 and 1978. It is a pre-production model that Märklin loaned to me for editorial reports in four specialist magazines and for my unpacking video. Märklin will probably deliver it in September 2024 in seven variants from epochs IV to VI (Itemnumbers 55251-55257). The original of the locomotive presented here with the operating number 151 060-1 was accepted almost exactly 50 years ago at the end of July 1974. The locomotive was in use by the freight train service provider "Lokomotion" from January 2016 to January 2024 - but initially still in red paint. It probably got the colorful "Zebra-Look" typical and usual for Lokomotion at the beginning of 2017. The Märklin model is made mostly of die-cast zinc and was refined mainly with brass investment castings and partly with plastic injection molded parts. In the video, I show many locomotive details and try out the numerous sounds individually. There are also some test runs with sound and I also show how the energy buffer of the Gauge 1 locomotive works in practice. After I am repeatedly asked about the prices of the models I present - Märklin offers the class 151 series in 1 to 32 scale with NEM wheel sets at a list price of 3299 euros. My video consists of the following sections, which can also be conveniently selected directly in the timeline or in the video description text: 00:00 Information about the Märklin model presented 00:39 First test drive 151 060-1 and video preview 01:15 Prototype information on class 151 and test model 01:55 Unpacking, scope delivery Märklin 55251-257 02:37 View of the Märklin 55257 operating instructions 03:47 Removing the Styrofoam protective shell 04:37 Unscrewing the transport plate 05:13 Bogie details and telex coupler 05:51 Drive Märklin class 151 gauge 1 07:15 Multi-protocol decoder with energy buffer 08:09 Front with screw or telex coupler 09:27 Front and tail lighting BR 151 Märklin 10:02 Driver's cab - lighting and Insights 12:13 Approach light and engine room lighting 12:43 Sounds and detailed views of Märklin BR 151 15:55 Telex coupler - sound and movement 16:27 Pantograph - sound and movement 17:09 Diorama shuttle ride 1 with sound/overhead line 20:30 Diorama shuttle ride 2 - other side of the locomotive 23:41 Slow without sound over R 1020 mm switches 24:46 Energy buffer test - speed level 1 with sound 26:10 Märklin energy buffer - reconfiguration 26:50 Long shuttle ride 1 over R 1020 switches 32:36 Shuttle ride other side 151 060-1 Märklin 38:12 Farewell More information: https://www.maerklin.de/en/service/pr... → Item No. → 55257 Further information about Lokomotion and the zebra look of their vehicles: [Google Translation into English]: https://www-lokomotion--rail-de.trans... https://www.lokomotion-rail.de/eisenb...
