Adar Suite | The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (Original Soundtrack) by Bear McCreary

Adar was one of my favorite parts of The Rings of Power, a compelling and menacing villain who felt capable and threatening while also being an empathetic and understandable character. His theme is simple, but it conveys so much authority and power. The instrumentation for Adar and the orcs is foreign and tribal, with the instruments being comprised of human and animal bones, woodwinds, and an Aztec death whistle that creates a terrifying shrill scream-like sound. Their music is chaotic and violent, matching the orcs in their pursuit of a suited land. But on their way to destroy the Southlanders, Adar's theme becomes apart of a militant, heavy war theme with taikos and hefty percussion, and a chant in Black Speech saying the now iconic words of Nampat.
