a day in the workshop - episode two || evan kingma guitars

Hey folks! In this week's episode, I am carving the neck of the guitar I am working on. This part of the build is always a bit special in my opinion as it is one of the very last things we do before all the final sanding and little details, and we spend so much time slowly taking all these pieces of wood and making something look like a guitar, but the neck carve is when it finally starts to feel like one. I am still getting used to working and filming at the same time, and I found it a bit distracting to film while also trying to get the neck shape perfectly refined. So once I got my last shot I spent some more time on it to get it perfect. This series is designed to give you a glimpse of what I do every day. My goal is to make this series quite relaxing and to let you be a fly on the wall so to speak, and to let you watch me just quietly working away. While the videos may not be very informative, please feel free to ask any questions in the comments. Despite its name, the entire video does not necessarily show everything I have done for work that day, only the things I bothered to record. For instance, while the camera is charging, I am still working, or sometimes I just need/want to not worry about the camera so I don’t film some tasks. I hope to have an episode out every week or two just to show you all what’s happening in the shop that given week. If you enjoyed this video, please feel free to like, comment, and subscribe.
