Canon EOS R5 12 bit vs 14 bit Raw - Electronic Shutter vs 1st Curtain
In this video about the Canon R5 I compare the quality of a 12bit against 14 bit RAW files. If you want to take photos with the electronic shutter of the Canon R5, you will only get 12 bit RAW files vs when you shoot in 1st Curtain or mechanical shutter mode the R5 will give you 14 bit files. But does this really make a difference? I'll answer that question via some pixel peeping. I capture photos both with electronic shutter and 1st Curtain mode and I compare underexposed, normal and overexposed photos. I also apply heavy color and contrast photo editing to the photos to see, if the 12 bit files show some banding. And besides looking at the image quality of the Canon EOS R5 once more, I also show you a new piece of equipment, which I got for my office. I now use the BenQ Screenbar Plus for a few weeks to light up my office with soft, neutral light. This space-saving desc lamp makes working in front of a screen in the evening much more comfortable for my eyes. ★☆★ BenQ Screenbar Plus ★☆★ Screenbar Info: https://www.benq.com/en-us/lamps/comp...
