3rd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment Homecoming Parade
On the 18th October 2012 Soldiers from 3rd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment marched through Huddersfield as part of their homecoming parade. Around 170 soldiers from the Corunna Company returned from Afghanistan to their Wiltshire barracks in September. Troops, including a 30-strong band, marched through the town. The parade was followed by a private service at the parish church to remember four Huddersfield soldiers who died in the conflict.
