Toughest Walleye Day Yet — Limit in 2 Hours on Bandits & Worm Harnesses, Lake Erie All to Myself

This was hands down the toughest day I've had walleye fishing in a long time. 🥶 40 degrees, rough water, and not another boat in sight on Lake Erie — I had the whole lake to myself for a reason. Most guys took one look at the forecast and stayed home, but I bundled up, ran the boards anyway, and somehow managed to box a limit of walleye in just 2 hours. The program that got it done was a mix of Redhead and Wonderbread Bandits running on the boards, plus worm harnesses with faceted gold beads picking up the rest of the fish. When the conditions are this nasty, the walleye don't always commit, but the right color combo and the right speed made all the difference. Sometimes the worst-looking days produce the best bites — you just have to be willing to put the time in and tough it out. If you're an early season Lake Erie walleye angler, this video is a good look at what cold water trolling really takes when the weather is working against you. Bandit colors, harness setups, and how to grind out a limit when the lake is empty for a reason.
