1993 II : Forgotten Albums in Hair Metal
The Year 1993 alot of people have forgot about Rock and Metal (certainly Hair metal and sleaze metal) but im here to show you three albums that you overlooked or totally forgot about to prove 1993 is still a good year for Rock and Metal !@MrBig1989 , Nasty Idols and Hard Knox. @perrisrecordsmusic @EonianRecordsLLC Hair metal, also known as glam metal or pop metal, is a subgenre of heavy metal with guitar-driven music, riffs and solos , catchy hooks, and upbeat anthems. Hair metal bands are often associated with big hair, flashy costumes, and excessive makeup. I.E Poison , Cinderella , Motley Crue , Roxx Gang , Ratt , Winger , Dokken. Mr. Big is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1988. The band was originally composed of Eric Martin (lead vocals), Paul Gilbert (guitar), Billy Sheehan (bass), and Pat Torpey (drums). Though primarily a hard rock band, they are also known for softer songs. Their songs are often marked by strong vocals and vocal harmonies. Their hits include "To Be with You" (a number-one single in 15 countries in 1992) and "Just Take My Heart". The band takes its name from a song by Free which it covered on the 1993 album Bump Ahead. Drawing from a wide range of influences that spanned from Led Zeppelin and Bad Company, to early AC/DC and the Scorpions, and even further to Fates Warning and Savatage; Salt Lake City, Utah’s HARD KNOX got its start when vocalist Therron Arrington and guitarist Chris Gigliotti began recording early tracks in—of all places—a closet in Chris’ mother’s house. The quintet grew to achieve local notoriety—helped along by opening slots for acts like David Lee Roth, Great White, Mr. Big, Slaughter, and even Pantera (among many others)—but after interest from Atlantic Records failed to result in a suitable recording contract, HARD KNOX decided to strike out on their own to self-release a full-length album, Psyco’s R Us, in 1993. Nasty Idols were a Swedish glam metal, hard rock band from Malmö, Sweden, which was formed in 1987.After the band split in 1995 they reformed in 2006. Since then the band has released a fifth studio album Boy's town and a sixth album Kalifornia. Band frontman Andy Pierce died in 2013.
