Battle Of The Bokeh: Fuji 35mm F2 Vs. F1.4 Portrait Photography Showdown

This video is a review of the Fuji 35mm F/2 prime lens from Fuji. I look at bokeh, sharpness, and depth of field. My review is not meant to be too technical and more a review that looks at how the lens has performed for me on my last photoshoot. I am well aware that the focal length of this lens makes more sense for a street photographer or a candid photographer but it definitely holds its own as a 50mm aps-c camera equivalent.I also compare this lens to its more expensive Fuji counter part the f1.4 When I went out and bought the Fuji XT2 this summer on sale with the battery grip and the 18-55mm f2.8-4 kit lens, I had a little money to spare. I decided to invest in a good prime lens. I chose the 35mm f2 prime from Fuji because I am a really big fan of prime lenses in general. I never thought I would get so much quality out of a lens. It is quite literally amazing. What is the Fuji 35mm f/2 This Fuji 35mm prime lens has 9 elements in 6 groups with 2 of those elements are aspherical. What is interesting is that the f2 version of the Fuji 35mm has 9 rounded blades as opposed to the 7 rounded on the much more expensive f/1.4. Its form factor is small and stubby. It has a 43mm filter size as opposed to the bigger 52mm filter size on the 1.4 As of posting, the Fuji 35mm f2 cost roughly 399 US dollars and the Fuji f1.4 costs about 599 US dollars.
