Our Toughest Day on The Camino (we couldn't do it)
Welcome to Day 3 of our Camino de Santiago 🇵🇹 This morning we leave the public albergue in Barcelos and head out into a full day of walking… in the rain. 🌧️ To say we’re apprehensive is an understatement, today is set to be our longest and toughest day on the Camino so far, with a whopping 34km ahead of us… and we’re already feeling it from yesterday. But somehow, this turns into the video where we laugh the most. From struggling into our now infamous rain ponchos to a day that definitely doesn’t go to plan… this one has a bit of everything. Expect chaos, and a LOT of laughing. Happy exploring! Starting in Asia, we backpacked our way around the continent for 12 months, before hiking over 1000 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail for 3 months. Since then, we’ve travelled to over 45 countries together, and embarked on some pretty crazy challenges (including cycling from Seattle to LA on the Pacific Coast Highway)! We’ve lived in some amazing parts of the world, and together we’ve been slowly ticking off our travel bucket list for over 7 years! Having just spent almost 2 years living in the Canadian Rockies, now we are on a backpacking journey across Europe and Asia. Our goal is to travel and experience as much as possible before the money runs out, all whilst documenting and posting here on Youtube - hopefully making enough money eventually to do this full time! 00:00 - Getting going 03:08 - Finally walking 04:20 - Breakfast at last 05:55 - The rain finds us 06:23 - The most I think I’ve ever laughed 09:08 - 8km update 09:43 - Another break (and a near death experience) 11:25 - Break number 4…? 12:27 - We gave up (and got an uber) 14:14 - Checking into the hostel 14:43 - Errands, laundry and OOTD 16:07 - Girl math & bedtime 16:57 - Bloopers :)
