Camino FINAL Day - Arriving in Santiago (we did it!)

Welcome to Day 11 on the Camino Portugués 🇵🇹🥾 Today is our final day… we made it to Santiago de Compostela! After 11 tough, wet days of walking, we finally arrived. Honestly, it all felt a little underwhelming. We’ve seen so many people finish the Camino overwhelmed with emotion, but that wasn’t really us 😂 We took a few photos, stood in the square for a while, and just tried to take it all in. We started the day in Padrón and, for once, it wasn’t raining. The rain did eventually find us again, but until then we are soaking up the final day of the journey. It was a public holiday so lots of places were closed, but we managed to survive off the random food left in our bags until we finally found an open café… and got to try the famous tortilla, which definitely didn’t disappoint 🤤 Over the last 11 days we laughed a lot, complained a lot, got completely soaked, covered in blisters, and yes… we even cheated a little with a taxi and a train 😂 But it was our Camino, and we wouldn’t change it. See you tomorrow as we explore the cathedral and collect our official Camino completion certificate 🥹 Help us make more awesome videos & BUY US A COFFEE (or a cheeky beer): buymeacoffee.com/daniandbrenna OUR FAVOURITE ESIM FOR TRAVEL: https://saily.tpk.ro/p2LKrS9s *The links in this description include affiliate links. Starting in Asia, we backpacked our way around the continent for 12 months, before hiking over 1000 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail for 3 months. Since then, we’ve travelled to over 45 countries together, and embarked on some pretty crazy challenges (including cycling from Seattle to LA on the Pacific Coast Highway)! We’ve lived in some amazing parts of the world, and together we’ve been slowly ticking off our travel bucket list for over 7 years! Having just spent almost 2 years living in the Canadian Rockies, now we are on a backpacking journey across Europe and Asia. Our goal is to travel and experience as much as possible before the money runs out, all whilst documenting and posting here on Youtube - hopefully making enough money eventually to do this full time! 00:00 - Today’s plan 01:22 - Hitting the trail 01:57 - Final morning coffee 02:45 - Leaving Padron 03:53 - So many cats 05:33 - Finally trying wild grapes 06:30 - Trying to find lunch (coffee stop 2) 08:59 - Finding somewhere for lunch (at last) 09:51 - Finally trying Spanish omelette 10:56 - Last stretch 12:26 - Final poncho saga (the rain arrived) 13:16 - Finally seeing the cathedral 14:38 - We made it!!
