*Please turn on CC for English subtitle. Hello, it’s Yu here ☺️ Every May, the world-famous Chelsea Flower Show takes place in London’s elegant Chelsea district. It’s a truly iconic event, but it can be quite an expensive experience. Thankfully, there’s another wonderful event happening at the same time — Chelsea in Bloom, London’s largest free floral festival 🌸 For one very special week, the streets are transformed with colourful flowers and spectacular fresh flower displays all across the neighbourhood. Each year has a different theme, and the 2026 theme is: 🚀 “Out of This World” 🌍 The past themes have all been lovely too, but this year feels especially unique and imaginative. ・2025: Flowers in Fashion ・2024: Floral Feasts ・2023: Flowers on Film ・2022: British Icons In this video, I’ll also be sharing the stories and inspirations behind many of the floral displays. I’ve gathered and gently summarised information from the official website in my own way. There are actually so many fascinating details behind each creation — from the flowers used, to the connection with the shops themselves, and even sustainability efforts. Every display has its own personality, and honestly, I could have talked about them all day. If you’d like to know more, do have a look at the official website too ☺️ https://www.chelseainbloom.co.uk/ Most of the displays are official entries, though a few shops seemed to be unofficial participants. For those, I couldn’t find official theme descriptions, so I introduced them based on the atmosphere and character of the shop itself. (Some unofficial displays also used artificial flowers.) The winner of the Best Floral Display award this year was Astrid & Miyu, a jewellery brand. I didn’t include it in the video, but I’ve shared photos over on Instagram, so please do come and have a look ♩   / withyu_travel   At the same time as Chelsea in Bloom, a smaller floral festival called Belgravia in Bloom is also held in the neighbouring area. The decorations blend so naturally into the streets that after a while, it becomes difficult to tell where one festival ends and the other begins…! You may spot a few displays from Belgravia in this video as well. This year’s Belgravia in Bloom theme was: 🧚 “Fairy Tales in Belgravia” ✨ The weather on this day was absolutely beautiful, although I definitely ran out of energy before I ran out of flowers to see 🥺 There was still so much more I wanted to explore. I enjoyed it so much that next year, I’d love to visit over two separate days and take everything in more slowly.
