Diagnosing a Lean Condition - Part 2 Gasket Match Port and Polish

In this video, we venture out to improve upon our newly flatted gasket surfaces by optimizing the flow between parts. To do this we use a carbide bit and various sanding wheels to polish out all the imperfections and casting marks. The hope is that this will slightly improve airflow and spool-up by providing a smooth surface and seamless transitions. The OEM part numbers given for the gaskets in this video refer to a 1g with a Holset HX35 using a BEP bolt on housing. exhaust manifold gasket (MR323654) 7cm turbine inlet gasket (MD171220) EVO III 02 housing gasket (MD185805). Any differences in your application and these part numbers may change so ensure that you order the right parts for your project.
