Ukrainian drones struck Russian oil and military infrastructure in St. Petersburg, more than 1,000 kilometers from Kyiv. According to Romanian authorities, a Russian drone exploded over an apartment building in the city of Galati, injuring two civilians. Meanwhile, the "drone war" threatens to continue spilling over the borders of both countries. Ukraine and Russia, with populations weary of the war and facing economic problems, seem to have ample reason to seek a diplomatic solution. Kyiv and Moscow are at least sending signals of a willingness to engage in dialogue. The Kremlin has confirmed receiving an open letter from Zelensky to Putin.
