Accessibility improvements have been made to ensure that services are conveniently available to everyone. The upgrades were carried out with support from the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Facility, within an investment implemented by the Ministry of Welfare. At the Social Service building at 3 Blaumaņa Street in Madona, several accessibility improvements have been introduced, including a designated parking space for persons with disabilities, an upgraded access ramp, automatic entrance doors, widened doorways, and the removal of thresholds. Tactile and visual signage has also been installed to make navigation easier for all visitors. While such practical improvements may seem small in everyday life, they are truly worthwhile, as they significantly improve people’s experience—making public services in state and municipal buildings safer, more convenient, and more dignified to access.
