Growing Unusual Alums

In this video I tried making every (reasonably) possible alum I could think to try. The most successful alums turned out to be Iron (III), Chromium (III), and Vanadium (III), but I also had some limited success with Titanium (III). Additionally I did try making alums using Gallium, Yttrium, Indium, Praseodymium, Neodymium, Holmium, Erbium, Europium, and Terbium. However, I couldn't get these metals to form in the classic alum fashion. This is my longest-running project to date, and while I finished filming in April of this year I began shooting this video all the way back in 2023. I honestly could have had this released a lot earlier, but I kept tweaking different aspects of the procedures to try and perfect them. Eventually I realized I'd never be 100% happy with my own procedures given how delicate/sensitive these compounds turned out to be. Regardless, I hope you enjoy what I was able to come up with!
