Bakersfield to Wasco | Central Valley Drive via CA-43

This drive begins in northwest Bakersfield and travels north through California’s Central Valley toward the farming community of Wasco. 0:00 Santa Fe Way 2:30 Riverside Street 4:19 Scaroni Avenue 5:57 CA-43 North 6:31 Kimberlina Road 7:05 Palm Avenue 8:28 CA-43 North 9:26 CA-46 Junction 9:43 Arriving Wasco The route follows Central Valley Highway before winding through orchard country along Riverside Drive and Scaroni Road, offering views of the agricultural landscape that defines much of Kern County. The drive then joins California State Route 43 northbound before reaching State Route 46 near Wasco. This part of the southern San Joaquin Valley is known for its orchards, fields, and wide open valley scenery. Wasco itself is one of the region’s historic agricultural towns, long associated with farming and crop production in the Central Valley. Thanks for riding along.
