EL TEMA: CDMX - AIRE

Once known as "the region with the clearest air," Mexico City has lost the volcanoes on its horizon, obscured by a haze of pollutants that makes the city's landscape visible. The climate crisis is evident in the air; the same pollution that shortens the lives of the capital's inhabitants by a year and a half also contains the emissions that raise the planet's temperature. A minority of residents who drive private vehicles and a thermoelectric plant that supplies the city with energy by burning fuel oil are primarily responsible for a problem that has been presented to us as impossible to solve. The issue is the climate emergency. #ElTemaMX Follow the conversation on: Twitter:   / corrientegolfo   Facebook:   / lacorrientedelgolfo   Instagram:   / lacorrientedelgolfo
