Episode 105 NorthWest Yarn Festival 2026 #knitting #haul

Hello my lovelies, todays video is my haul from the NorthWest Winter Yarn Festival; which I was lucky enough to visit last Sunday. I am trying a spend less this year; by this I mean I ask myself a question before I purchase anything. I feel very overwhelmed with the pressure to spend money all the time. I am fairly sensible with money but when surrounded with yarn; I lose my head!!! So I have found a system which works for me and that is to pull together some patterns I'd like to make and take them in a folder. This worked very well for me last year when I attended the festival in Blackpool and also went to Yarndale 2025. I set myself a criteria for shopping as follows: 1. Treat Laura to a skein of yarn (living vicariously through others!) 2. A skein of yarn for a certain project (black) 3. Yarn for a hat pattern (this was the only one I took!) 4. A show yarn, maybe. 5. An impulse buy. 6. Patterns (Crochet/Knitting).
