Episode 104 North West Winter Festival Yarn Show Blackpool 2026 #yarnshow #knitting

Hello my lovelies, on Sunday 15th February 2026 I was very lucky to attend the North West Winter Yarn Festival in Blackpool. This has been hosted for the 2nd time and is mainly made of of Northern Venders. I went with my daughter, who was a darling and drove us there and back. It was a very different experience for me as I am trying to stick to a 'spend less' year and use my stash. I went with a thoughtful list of purchases I might like to consider. I met some old friends, dyers, subscribers of this channel, other podcasters and of course Michaela and her ' posse' from Modern Yarn. Thank you to those who came up to me and said hello; I really appreciated it. I found I was drawn to the samples on the stands for the very first time and really looked at what was made with the vendors yarn. My knitting life has opened up as I have been able to make some garments for myself. Though of course I was drawn to all the lovely skeins the vendors were displaying. Was I good?
