Labour Chowk | The Daily Auction

Every morning, thousands of daily wage labourers gather at labour chowks across Delhi with one hope to find work for the day. For many, it is a daily auction of their labour, where dignity, survival, and uncertainty stand side by side. Some find work. Many return home empty-handed. Behind every face is a story of resilience, struggle, and silent exploitation. In this documentary, we take you to one such labour chowk in Delhi to witness a reality that most of us pass by every day, yet rarely stop to understand. Street to Stories is our attempt to step into the streets and bring forward the stories of people who often remain unseen despite being all around us. Through honest conversations and ground reporting, we hope to document lives that deserve to be heard.
