Recognizing this reality, Cameroon has taken proactive steps to support its cocoa farmers. In 2016, the country exported 250,000 tons of cocoa, but faced with fluctuating prices, smallholder farmers had to diversify their income streams. The answer? A bold transformation of cocoa into value-added products such as cocoa powder and cocoa butter. This initiative is not just an innovation; it is a revolution for cocoa cooperatives and producers.
