Ruto given four months to reconstitute Cabinet over gender rule

President William Ruto has four months to reconstitute his Cabinet after the High Court found that it does not meet the constitutional gender threshold. The court ruled that the current Cabinet fails to comply with the two-thirds gender rule, which requires that no more than two-thirds of members of appointive public bodies be of the same gender. The judges said the Cabinet must include at least nine women. Emmanuel Too reports.
