Meeting Job Seekers Where They Are: The Partnership Behind Workforce Access in Orange County

In rural communities, access can make all the difference. That’s why Elizabeth Smith, our very own Mobile Resource Specialist, brings workforce support directly into the Orange County Public Library system, helping people connect with services without having to travel to central offices in Fredericksburg, Culpeper, or Charlottesville. This work is made possible through a strong local partnership: the Town of Orange Economic Development funds the position, Orange County Public Library provides space and support across its three county libraries, and Rappahannock Goodwill staffs the role in collaboration with Virginia Career Works - Piedmont Region And the impact is real. This past year, one of Elizabeth’s clients, Terri, not only received support through the program, but she was also hired by the library and is now part of the staff. This is more than a success story. It’s a powerful example of what happens when community partners come together to remove barriers, expand access, and create opportunity close to home. 🎥 ‪@IgniteCinemas‬ 📍Orange County Public Library #VCWP (Virginia Career Works Piedmont) #Orange County Public Library #Orange County Economic Development #RappahannockGoodwill #communityimpact
