Choose an Eagle Project | How to write proposal
Hey guys, Mac Guzman here. First established in 1927, the Eagle Scout Service Project is an opportunity for a Life Scout to give leadership to others by planning, developing, and leading a project. Some things to note is that the project must provide some benefit to the community, the project must be completed by a Scout's 18th birthday, and the project must be lead by the Scout. One thing to notice is that there are 3 main stages (I said 4 in the video but it's the same) 1. Pre-Project Proposal 2. Project into Action 3. Final write-up Tips for leading project: Locate your Troop's "Life to Eagle Coordinator" Attain all important contact information Come up with multiple ideas before acting on one in case your main idea falls through When starting, keep in mind costs and fundraising If building something, think about possible permits Talk to other Eagle Scouts to get more insight on the entire process Keep a timeframe on when the stages should be completed Helpful links: Project Planning Guide: http://www.eaglescout.org/project/eag... Since Spring Break, I signed up for four Merit Badges online with the Central Florida Council. Any scout nationwide can sign up for these badges and the cost is $5 - $10 each. Please note the online classes are Monday through Thursday and start times are all Eastern Time. ⚜ https://scoutingevent.com/083-OnlineMB Yours in Scouting -Mac Guzman #macguzman #eaglescout #eaglescoutmac The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) includes Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA (formerly Boy Scouts), Venturing, Sea Scouts, and Exploring.
