2026年6月9日 古津八幡山古墳 弥生時代にタイムスリップ！竪穴式住居に入ってみた！新潟市秋葉区

Taken on June 9, 2026 A day out in Akiha Ward, Niigata City! We visited the picture book museum currently being held at the Niitsu Art Museum. While photography of the original artwork was generally prohibited, the characters and objects depicted in the picture books were displayed as actual models, and these were mostly allowed to be photographed! It was a very enjoyable experience with my two grandchildren, and they seemed very satisfied. I've included a few photos. After leaving the museum, we headed up a small hill to the Kotsu Hachimanyama Kofun (ancient burial mound), where we heard that Yayoi period pit dwellings had been recreated. We immediately began our climb. Even a two-year-old could climb it on their own, although it was a bit tough for me with my back pain. But when we reached the top, there really were pit dwellings! Three out of seven were destroyed by fire, so we could only enter two, but it was quite fun. It was dark inside, but my two-year-old grandchild was thrilled!
