Butler to Yanchep Unscheduled Closure due to Broken C-Series Train Pantograph

On Friday the 10th of January 2025, one of C-Series set 131's pantographs somehow broke on the Yanchep Rail Extension. The train was parked up at Yanchep Station platform 2 and the power turned off to inspect the damage and secure the broken pantograph. This resulted in a closure of the Yanchep Line between Butler and Yanchep all the way from 9AM to 5PM. This means the old Joondalup Line operations made a return with trains terminating at Butler during the disruption. This was the first time the C-Series terminated at Butler since it previously never went there before the Yanchep Rail Extension opened. Emergency rail replacement was in operation with 904 running between Butler and Yanchep. I got on a Beenyup depot bus doing this service of which the driver had never driven to these stations and needed help navigating the service. I get to Yanchep just on time to take some shots of the broken pantograph before the C-Series suddenly manages to leave with only one pantograph powering it despite having sat there for 8 hours until then...
