500 Days Without Alcohol. The Brutal Truth Every Man Over 40 Needs To Hear

I had my last drink 500 days ago. And I need to be honest with you upfront — I wasn't the version of this you're picturing. No shaking hands. No hidden bottles. I was a Guinness World Record holder, a British and European Natural Bodybuilding Champion, and I'd coached over 15,000 men. I looked like I had everything figured out. High-functioning doesn't mean healthy. It means you're getting away with it. In this video I walk through the 6 signs that finally made me admit I had a problem — the kind of signs that show up in boardrooms and gyms, not just gutters. If you drink socially, even just at weekends, some of this is going to sound uncomfortably familiar. We also get into the hard data: what alcohol actually does to your testosterone, your REM sleep, your HRV, and your body composition — and why men over 40 who train hard and still can't shift the belly should take a very close look at what they're drinking on a Friday. This isn't an anti-alcohol video. I'm not here to make you feel guilty for having a beer. It's about knowing your limit — and being honest with yourself about whether you actually do. ⬇️ LINKS MENTIONED 📋 Apply for the Renaissance Man Programme: https://jayalderton.typeform.com/to/p... 📚 40 Books Every Man Should Read at 40 (Free): https://jayalderton.myflodesk.com/ch0... 🌐 Website: https://www.jayalderton.com ⏱️ CHAPTERS 0:00 – The part I have to tell you first 1:04 – Sign 1: Using alcohol as an off switch 2:13 – Sign 2: Nights out became logistics 2:51 – Sign 3: The successful man's alibi 3:52 – Sign 4: The data started telling on me 5:56 – Sign 5: The defensiveness 7:21 – Sign 6: The 70-year-old me test 8:12 – I'm not anti-alcohol — here's the difference 9:55 – The 90-day challenge 10:27 – How to get help #AlcoholFree #SoberLife #MenOver40 #MensHealth #Testosterone #QuitAlcohol #HighFunctioning #500DaysSober #RenaissanceMan #MensMindset #PerformanceCoaching #SleepOptimisation #HRV #NaturalBodybuilding #MentalHealthMen
