This video is set in Castlefield Manchester. We are on the Bridgewater canal at its junction with the River Medlock. This is an urban explore, Urbex. We are looking at James Brindleys Original canal warehouse. The Grocers warehouse. The Grocers warehouse was one of Manchesters first purpose built canal warehouses. It had a unique Waterwheel driven lifting mechanism to lift goods up to street level. We go into the wheel chamber, wheel pit underground Manchester, and discover a hidden tunnel that leads to a chamber. There is a mysterious bricked up arch and a shaft. What is this piece of unique Georgian canal engineering and Victorian engineering. All is revealed in this video
