Hierapolis (希拉波利斯)

Founded in the 2nd century BCE, Hierapolis is a historic Roman thermal spa famous for medicinal springs and ecclesiastical landmarks. The site features white travertine formations, vast necropolises, and therapeutic waters used since antiquity. It and Pamukkale became UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1988. 希拉波利斯建於西元前2世紀,是一座歷史悠久的羅馬溫泉療養勝地,以其藥用溫泉和宗教建築而聞名。該遺址擁有白色石灰華地形、廣闊的墓地以及自古以來就用於療養的泉水。希拉波利斯和棉花堡於1988年被聯合國教科文組織列入世界遺產名錄。
